Israel Bans Imports of Apple IPad

On April 3rd the Ipad hit the market and is a revolutionary piece of modern technology. The IPad has many features that Apple has thought of to make it convienent and easy to use. The IPad is currently being sold for $500 and is sold at most chain stores all over the country.

Recently, Israel decided to ban this piece of technology because of its Wi-Fi capabilities. Electronic devices in Israel and in Europe work on different frequancy banbs then devices in America. Isreal is the first country to ban the device and hopes to have the problem fixed closer to the international release date on May 9th. Customs officials in Israel have already confiscated 10 of these devices and are holding them for a daily fee at the owners expense until the owner ships the device back to America, again at the owners expense. Some Israelis have gotten the device into the country and are secretly keeping them hidden because many IPod and IPad applications are made in Israeal.
